Dear Friends and Subscribers,
I am very grateful for the opportunity and ability to put some honest creative effort into the Last Gas Station, and do some thinking about energy, fuel, and the issues regarding the exciting changes that we as a species are engaging in.
Your signature to the Petition, and your subscription to the feed is an
honor to me. It is very nice to have agreement with people from so many
different places, with such a varying range of politics, all over the world. There is some significant new movement
happening right now. I am preparing a business plan for an opportunity
to start a business that is something like an extension of the Last Gas Station. I have been formulating the concept for quite a while. I'll make you aware of what is happening with that.
I am also putting together a couple of interviews for podcasts with
people either inventing or having a desire to use New Energy
Technology. This is a great breakthrough for me, it is something I've
wanted to do for a long time. I want to be a "player" in the realm of
media on this issue. Remember, in the US, we use 25% of the energy
produced in the world, and we are only 5% of the population. We have to
recognize our responsibility to think about these things, even if we
are just dumb Midwestern guys who eat corn and drive pickup trucks :-P .
I am at a point that I have to make some decisions about what to invest
time in. Like you, and everyone, I have a budget. I want to continue
this LGS thing, but I may have to stop. Hopefully I can get the
interviews in, but I will likely have to stop after that unless I can
put a little extra cabbage together.
If each person who signed the General Petition for New Energy could
spare 2$, I can continue this project through the winter. If each
person receiving this email could spare 2$ I could do that, and hire a
consultant to help me with the figures for my business plan. Otherwise,
the business plan has to come first, and the internet connection has to
be discontinued for a while. That's just the way it is. I've got a
couple of book projects going on too, so this is just a time when I
have to be realistic. I'm always doing things for free for people, I
guess that is a bad habit to get into.
Yes, believe it or not, I can live without the internet. It will not be
as bright a world without you in it, but if that's the way it is, then
that's the way it will have to be for a while. If you can put a couple
of bux in the tip jar, it would be greatly appreciated. I enjoy
creating, but stuff ain't free.
Also, the LGS has a new and improved Wickedly Honest Poll
that I know will get
a rise out of a lot of people. Honesty is like that sometimes, hmm?
Please go check out the poll question. I have gotten a lot of weird
responses to my blog from people who can't figure out my politics. They
want me to be a Libertarian, a Leftist, a Liberal, a Conservative. I
love it, and I'm happy to say that I cannot appease any of them. I
think this poll is going to drive them all even crazier than they
already are. O:-)
Here is the link to the tip jar, hope you can help.
